Capital Tower sits on Waterloo Road overlooking Waterloo Station with good connections to the Southbank and beyond.
PLD have been approached to design the co-working spaces in the building operated by Local London. Rather than disposing of the building interiors entirely and replacing with new, our approach adopts circular design principles. We have carefully selected elements within the building, refurbishing and recycling where possible to minimise replacement.
The proposals sustainably retain much of the existing office space finishes. The remaining spaces are enhanced with high quality, long life, finishes, furniture and fittings. To improve the social environment of the workspaces a communal hub has been created in the centre of the floor offering a kitchenette, coffee bar and variety of work settings to improve social interaction and collaboration.
