We were commissioned to work on a private home in the south of England on the Highclere Estate. Full of character throughout, with the most delightful gardens and glorious views over the countryside.
The commission included concept and detailed design, specifying materials, commissioning joinery, full furnishing, overseeing construction and adding finishing touches. We had some extraordinary spaces to design, including a large drawing room, ten double bedrooms, kitchen/breakfast room, three reception rooms, ten bathrooms, staff quarters and home gym.
The most challenging and enjoyable parts of the project were found in restoring the property to its former glory, refurbishing and replicating period features. The spaces were then brought to life and given a personal touch by introducing furniture, art and possessions, both new and already belonging to the client.
